73 paths but only 1 is the right one

Was in a chat with some guys. Sharing views about the tabligh group and political groups. One PAS guy making negative remarks about tabligh group. Reminded them (and myself) that "there are 73 paths and only 1 is the right one. How do you know that PAS is the 1?" He said, "Eh of course la, hopefully." Then I thought, how about the countries where there is no PAS? Thank You and Warmest Regards, Nahar Razak

Go On, Swallow It

This should be a reminder to the rest of news writers and bloggers. My First Neighborhood Round

After the recent spate of armed robberies, house break-ins, car break-ins and car theft, we in the 'hood band together to act. Tonight, for the first time in 18 years, we started our neighborhood watch. I took the maiden patrol shift with another neighbor from 1am - 3am. The good thing about this is that we get to know one another better. Thank You and Warmest Regards, Nahar Razak

Happy Bosses Day!

I didn't even know there's such a day. According to the article from The Star below it's not popular here. I don't have a boss. I don't have any employee. So, here's wishing me Happy Bosses Day! ---------- Sunday October 16, 2011 Bosses Day sparks little enthusiasm among employees By CHRISTINA CHIN sgchris@thestar.com.my GEORGE TOWN: It's Bosses Day today but not many employees will be celebrating it with their employers. Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) president Mohd Khalid Atan said Bosses Day was not popular here because workers were not treated as "social partners". "The gap between the management and staff is too wide. Bosses must change their mindset they need to identify and understand their workers' needs," he said. Foreign Maids Abused in Malaysia

We read news on the subject. The respective countries retaliate by freezing their maids supply into Malaysia. First Indonesia and now Cambodia. "Saturday October 15, 2011 Cambodia bans its citizens from working as domestic helpers in Malaysia By ISABELLE LAI and LIM WEY WEN newsdesk@thestar.com.my PETALING JAYA: The dire shortage of maids affecting some 35,000 families has taken a turn for the worse with Cambodia springing a surprise ban on its citizens working as domestic helpers in Malaysia. This comes three days after Indonesia announced that a moratorium on sending its maids had not been lifted pending a proper framework being put in place. A Reuters report from Phnom Penh yesterday said Prime Minister Hun Sen made the decision after expressing disappointment with alleged incidents of beatings and rape of Cambodian maids by their Malaysian employers. The report quoted Cambodia's Community Legal Education Centre, which helps abused domestic workers,...

Crime rate down? No. Not at my housing area

Since August, 5 houses in my block have been broken into, one of which was robbed at parang-point at 12noon and a car was driven away. Tonight we are having a meeting with the police at the local station. Thank You and Warmest Regards, Nahar Razak

Reimagining Clouds

Thank God for the Sky. The sky is a big canvas. Clouds form shapes and the sky becomes a big painting. The clouds change shapes and a new painting is formed. Sometimes while changing their shapes the clouds move with the wind. The clouds become animated. And the sky turns from a canvas into a very large movie screen. The stories and the plots we see on the sky screen are only limited by our imagination. That's how I spent the last weekend - Reimagining Clouds. Thank You and Warmest Regards, Nahar Razak

Continue Blogging?

The last update I made was 15 July 2010.  It's been a while. Been thinking about blogging again since a few weeks back.  And on 5 October 2011 Azureen Alya suggested me to write more. Few things on top of my head. Budget 2012 (dubbed the "election budget" by some) is one.  Is giving money to the people a good move to help ease their burden?  Should we give fish, teach to fish or teach the fish?  Who are the targets of the budget?  Why teachers who make 1/3 of public servants?  Why Felda settlers (how many are they)?  Why those those earning RM3,000 and below? Number two is the coming general election.  Will it be a big majority?  Will it be a slim majority?  A slim majority by either side will mean a weak government. Third, the lessons I learned. Seriously?  Am I going to blog about the economy and politics?  Do I want to share the lessons I learned when it seems that I don't even learn that much? No, I don't...
